Austrian flexible packaging company Constantia Flexibles has announced the development of a new paper-free, child-resistant blister lidding foil with upgraded peel/push functionalities.
According to the company, the new easy-PIESY offers a smooth, robust peel and is an aluminum-PET-aluminum lamination that requires less heat during the sealing process due to its absence of paper, compared to traditional paper-back foil structures.
The blister lidding's reduced sealing temperatures leads to better productivity and less stress on machines and its paper-free design also makes it suited to cleanroom environments.
Simple to punch, the easy-PIESY blister lidding offers similar levels of printability as standard blister foils.
