It’s reported that the prices of medium heavy plates rose by US$30/short ton to US$720~US$740/short ton in the US market last week after the major steelmakers hiked the steel flats prices by US$60/short ton.
Furthermore, it’s said that the US steelmakers planned to increase the prices further by US$60/short ton in the near short term.
However, traders said that the new price hike might be unfavorable to buyers as most buyers have completed the purchase for stockpiles.
