EA released the earnings in third-quarter of fiscal year 2013. The report showed that the net revenue EA in the third-quarter was 922 million dollars, lower than the same period last year of
1.061 billion dollars, a net loss of 45 million dollars, better than last year's net loss of 205 million dollars. After the adjustment, earnings of per share exceeded the expectation of the Wall Street analysts, but revenue was less than the expectation, promoting its stock price fell by nearly 3%.
By the end of the quarter in December 31st, EA's net loss was 45 million dollars, a loss of 15 cents per share, the performance was better than last year. The third quarter of fiscal 2012, EA’s net loss was 205 million dollars, a loss of 62 cents per share. Excluding share-based payments and deferred revenue and other disposable items, EA’s net profit was 176 million dollars in the third quarter, lower than the same period last year of 334 million dollars, per share earnings was 57 cents, less than 99 cents a year earlier, the results topped the expectation of the analyst. The analysts had expected the per share earnings of 56 cents on average.
